This means you can marry once here, in the Indian Ocean, in a setting of extraordinary beauty and have it be the real thing without a second ceremony at the Comune when you return.

To marry legally in Mauritius as Italian nationals, you will need your birth certificates with apostille (the apostille is issued in Italy by the Prefettura), a certificate of no impediment (nulla osta al matrimonio) from your local Comune, and your identity documents. All documents must be in English or accompanied by an official translation. The process is straightforward if you start at least two to three months before your intended wedding date.
